Letter From The Publisher of CANE CORSO
QUARTERLY

Welcome to
Cane Corso Quarterly Online. The
pages you see here on your computer are a pre
launch to the exciting  new glossy magazine
Cane
Corso Quarterly
that will premiere soon. Our goal
is to create the finest animal enthusiast publication
in America to represent your passion and ours, the
magnificent Cane Corso.
It's my pleasure to introduce our staff, which, thanks
to the miracle of modern communications, live
throughout the United States. Our award winning
editor, Beau Allen Pacheco resides in Tennessee
and is a journalist with a varied and exciting
background. He's been a columnist with the
Rocky
Mountain News,
Denver's largest Daily Newspaper,
and has been Editor-In-Chief  and contributor to
some of America's most prestigious enthusiast
magazines from the publishing house of Hachette-
Filipacchi. Hachette titles include:
Elle, Elle Decor,
Women's Day, Premiere, Popular Photography,
Road & Track, American Photo, Flying, Car &
Driver, Cycle World,
and many others. Pacheco has
covered stories in 37 countries from Bolivia to
Sicily to Iceland to Russia and China. However, the
country in which he has traveled most is his beloved
Italy, and his photography of Italian icons which
grace these pages, reflects that passion for the old
country, and his girth reflects his passion for pasta.
He's already planning trips to Italy to research and
report on the Cane Corso there. Our editor is also a
dedicated dog lover and is active in Greyhound
Rescue in Tennessee.
Our art director is the supremely talented Keith
May of Newport Beach, California. You can see his
work every month in
Cycle World Magazine which
is the world's most read bike magazine and in which
he is not only one of the art directors, but contributes
stories as well as photography.
The credentials of your humble publisher living in
Grand Junction, Colorado cover more years than she
likes to admit. However, they include membership
or association with: The Professional Boarding
Kennel Association, we are a CGC Evaluator, A
Petco Trainer, A Former President of Doberman
Pinscher Club of Las Vegas, Co-Founder of the
Silver State Schutzhund Club, a Former President of
the Silver State Schutzhund Club and we are
Currently working with local and federal law
enforcement to choose and evaluate rescued pit
bulls for Drug Task Force scent detection work.
We have 25 years experience in training
obedience, show ring, therapy and tracking and we
operate a Licensed  Dept. of Agriculture Boarding
and Training Kennel.
The Working Titles we have
put on dogs include:22 CD; 14 CDX; 4 UD; 22 Sch
B; 7 Sch  1; 4 Sch  2; 4 Sch  3; 1 Novice Field; 1
Novice Herding; 3 Tracking; 11 W A C (Working
aptitude certification), 8 AKC Champions; 15
International Champions; 12 CGC (Canine Good
Citizen); and 6 Therapy Dogs. Most importantly
though, we have been showing Cane Corsos for nine
years.
In light of the above list, we can say that over the
years we've witnessed enough canine politics to f
ill
several
Roman Forums, so this is a good time to
make our political statement, and that is; we have no
politic
al statement. CCQ is dedicated to one entity,
and that is the spectacular Cane Corso dog.
Inasmuch as he  lives his life unfettered by factions
and intrigue, we shall strive to emulate that happy
example.  We have no club affiliation or agenda
when it comes to featuring dogs in these pages. If it's
a genuine Cane Corso and we like it, that's
sufficient.
Our first assignment and outing as a magazine staff
will be the Purina Farms event. You'll easily see us,
we'll be wearing our dangerously purple and gold
shirts and hats. We hope to talk with all of you there
and get to know you. We want to know what you
look for in a magazine, and are eager to create a
publication in which you’ll be proud to see your dog.
See you in St. Louis.
Sincerely,
Kathi Wisdom
